ExpressPay kiosk can be found in many Kinkos 24-Hour copy centers.Kinkos uses the ExpressPay kiosks to provide self serve access
control and payment systems for photocopiers,PCs and Macintosh computers. The system allows complete tracking of copies,time,
applications,and prints utilizing credit cards,in-store charge cards,and in-store chip cards and coupons.Entrac provides monitoring
of system status and troubleshooting that reduces onsite technical support,increasing overall system reliability and improving the
customers' experience.

System structure (hardware):PPC-105T connects card reader,printer and Macintosh Computer for monitoring system status and
troubleshooting.
Solution
A secondary school in Sembawang,Singapore,started using the kiosk in November 2000.The students use the smart card issued by the
LandTransportAuthority (LTA)of Singapore as theirStudent Identification Pass(SIP) for cashless transactions,such as transportation,attendance,
facilities access and reservations,library use,or purchases such as books,uniforms,stationery and more.
System
The school's eight snack bar stalls will have smart-card readers and touchscreen computers to take orders. No cash is accepted. Students
will be able to buy things with only a stored-value smart card. From a password-protected interface,parents can view the nutritional value
of their children's meals. They can also order their children's meal in advance. Internet-enabled touch Panel Computers are located within
the school's compound to let students order and pay for their food while nutritional data,such as calories,is also recorded. In addition,
students will also use the smart card to borrow library books and mark their attendance by swiping the cards through card readers at the
school gate.
Introduction
A Singaporean company,Chowiz,built the system to provide a good opportunity for
students to learn about an e-lifestyle they will be exposed to in the digital economy.
Advantech's PPC-123TInternet-based kiosk systemis a dynamic addition to the education
